Hmm. I don't know if I can actually choose this time, which is amazing because usually the UK covers rock and ours suck. ;-) I would like the UK cover more if Katsa didn't look so much like your stereotypical warrior bimbo--give the silhouette some muscle!
I think they're both nice, but I'm going with the US cover as my favorite. For some reason, I prefer covers without people on them... and that doesn't seem to happen very often!
I love your site, btw. You've given me lots of great ideas for my YA TBR pile! ;)
I much prefer the UK cover - I don't like covers with people on usually but the darkness of her face is mysterious so you can still imagine Katsa for yourself. I love the fact that the girl/woman isn't all muscled, because it makes her seem more dangerous to me that she can do what she can without being big and strong. I always imagined her more graceful and cat-like anyhow. I also like the colours, snowflakes and title font.
I do wish they'd promo'd this more as the YA genre it actually is - I kept picking it up in the adult fantasy section and thinking the writing sounded off. Once you realise it should be a YA, it's a nice little read.. For once, both covers are nice though.. the US one probably slightly less cliched though.
I personally prefer the US cover. The knife is so significant in the story, and te reflection is such a great addition to it. The UK one with the warrior is okay, and yes, the warrior looks dark and mysterious, but that's just is it. Katsa isn't dark, or mysterious. Maybe a bit mysterious, but definately not dark. I really like the US one.

I like the US one just a little bit better. I love the reflection in the knife. But the UK one's cool too!!

It's pretty close, but the UK cover wins for me, too.
I like the US one the best especially after I'd spent some time studying it. The UK one is too unremarkable - it could be ANY warrior standing there.
I prefer the US cover for the colors.

I much prefer the US cover, actually! They're both nice, but I think covers like the UK one are a bit overdone.
