News: Wings and Hands & Teeth UK Covers

Amazon UK have added images for two upcoming releases in the UK: Wings by Aprilynne Pike and The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan. Both are very different to their original US covers, especially the one for Wings.

Do you like them? TFOHAT is pretty cool, but I'm not keen on Wings. I think it makes it look quite young. Anyway, the good news is that they're both published over here soon, in April (Wings) and July (TFOHAT) respectively.

Both of these covers are cool, but I prefer the US versions. I agree Wings looks like it's for a much younger audience. TFOHAT seems a little darker to me, mood wise, but considering it's a zombie story, I suppose that works... but the US cover appealed more. Either way, both books sound cool! Great post!

Yeahh, the Wings cover kind of sucks.

I think the Wings cover is deceiving. With the "Stephenie Meyer" across the bottom, people might mistake it a new Meyer book. I didn't see the real author's name until last.

They're both totally awesome, but I prefer the US covers.

I agree with Hillary about the "Stephenie Meyer" across the bottom of Wings - it's the first thing I thought, too.

yet again, us beats out the uk:) no offense to the uk, but they're not all that creative. I mean, tfohat doesn't even have a pic on the uk version!

Oh, I really don't like this cover of Wings (and I usually prefer the UK covers). And yes, it looks aimed at a much younger audience. But I do like TFOHAT cover - both of them.

both covers are nice but i definitely like TFOHAT better. Wings looks young when first looked at but then again you can't judge a book by it's cover! <3 and blogging peace :P

Pretty but why is Stephenie Meyers names more dominant than the authors?

Wowww. I love the UK covers because they're so different from the usual plethora of US covers. Wings has very pretty colors, and Forest is... well, I can't really tell what it is, but it looks cool all the same!

Man, I really want to go visit you so I can buy these books just for their UK covers... AND TO SEE YOU, OF COURSE! :)

The cover for forest of hands and teeth looks waaaay better than the american one, man why is it that UK covers are always prettier? So unfair hehe

Steph - feel free! I have a spare room, and a Borders discount...! :P

And I'm wondering why Meyer's name is so dominant, too. She's had her recommendations on a lot of books recently. Weird.

I ordered TFOHAT with the UK cover, so I gotta have to wait until July to read it. I like it much better than the US one. But the US cover for Wings is way better!

I really like both of the UK covers a lot more than the US ones. I can't wait to read TFOHAT.

I totally agree with you. I like the US version of Wings but the TFOHAT UK cover isn't all that bad.
