US Vs. UK: Thirteen Reasons Why Covers

US // UK

I absolutely love this book, and am so glad it's finally being published in the UK in August. However, I'm not quite sold on the cover. It looks like it should be in the adult fiction/real life sections, rather than teen. I much prefer the US one, I think the layout and image is brilliant, and very eye-catching.

What are your thoughts?

UK wins by a landslide! I love the colors and I think the girl fits the book better.

I really like the UK cover but I couldn't work out why... and then it hit me. The model reminds me of Angela Chase in My So Called Life! So, there you go, I love it for 90s nostalgia reasons. :)

I love the swing on the US cover.

I prefer the US cover. It's more eye-catching, I like they incorporated 13 into the title, and I prefer the red/brown/warm color scheme as opposed to the dreary grey palette of the UK cover.

I agree with MichieBee. I like the US cover better on this one.

I'm for the US cover. The UK one is really nice, but the US one is more interesting. Plus swings! You can't get much better than swings. :D And I agree- the layout in the US cover is so nice.

The US is amazing. I just don't like the lighting on the UK. It's rather grey and boring!

I prefer the US cover, although I haven't read the book, so I don't know if one picture fits the story better than the other.

I have to say that because I've read the book, I prefer the US cover because it seems more fitting to the story. The girl on the US cover looks sad and lonely and it just sits the book so much better.

I like the US cover because it is more attention grabbing.

Yeah. The US one screams YA but the UK is kind of bland.

I prefer the US cover.

The UK cover reminds me also of the german cover of Jodi Picoult's "19 Minutes"

I own the UK one but I wish I had the US one instead!I love the font and the tape effect and the picture chosen. The UK one is a bit boring and hostile.
