US Vs. UK: The Vampire Diaries Vol. 1

US // UK

I didn't have to think for long about which cover I prefer out of these two -- the US wins. I like the paleness of the model, and the blood. The UK cover looks far too much like the Twilight cover, and I just don't think it works. I also don't like the simple title font, or the dripping red from the apple. What do you think?

The UK one made me want to eat a toffee apple. Hmm, I think it's lunch time. ;)
You know, I quite like both of them and I can't decide this week! (Maybe because I'm hungry.)

Honestly, neither. They are both bad. But the US on is better than the UK.

I don't have a favorite one since both are great!

I have to go with neither. The US one is just way too creepy and UK one, well, yeah it looks too much like the Twilight cover, which it shouldn't have to be. I wish the US ones were a bit nicer like the Nightworld omnibuses.

US-- but neither appeal to me that much.

I like the US cover. The UK is too Twilight.

I'm kind of with the rest of the crowd on this one; I don't really like either one, but if I HAD to choose, I would go with US. The UK one is way too Twilight, and just kind of weird (a melting apple...?) :P

The UK cover grabs my attention because of its colors (I love the flashing red of the apple), but indeed the bloody-melting apple is too Twilight-ish. I love the title font though.
As for the US cover, it doesn't appeal to me at all.

I prefer the US one, though I don't really like either one very much.

The US one I think - but I'm with every one else - I'm not really taken by either:(

UK= total Twilight rip!!

I much prefer the US cover. The UK cover reminds me too much of Twilight with the apple which may be intentional given Twilight's success and the want to market other YA vampire books. I've read The Awakening and The Struggle and I can't see where the apple fits into either one.

I feel bad saying this but I hate the UK cover for this one, so cheap and tacky.

The Twilight rip-off is an instant turn-off. I prefer the US cover.

I would never read the UK one. It turns me off completely for some reason. I'd consider the US one but it doesn't say "buy me". I often buy books for their cover and I'm proud of it!

I prefer the US cover, the UK version scream *Twilight*

UK! It looks awesome and appealing and bright and colorful, but it's pretty Twilight-y. I'm not a big fan of the creepy guy on the US cover, though.

I don't like either cover. If I had to pick though, it would be the US cover.

I think the UK cover just screams rip-off! Too bad too since the VDs were out way before T ever was.

Hmm...I like both of them. But I don't really LOVE them.

I don't like the twilight-esque feel of the UK. I like the fact that the US versions mesh well together with all the faces. It's fun to put them together. I have the Secret Circle ones too and they are the same way.
