US Vs. UK: Numbers Covers

US // UK

This is another one of those weeks where I can't make a decision one way or the other. I love the style of the UK cover (Chicken House covers are always amazing), but I really like the overall look of the US one. I'd definitely buy either, though I think the UK cover has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated -- it's one of my favourite covers of 2009.

Not even sure I care, just really want to read this book :) I like both covers, like you.

I prefer the US cover. If I wasn't familiar with the name of the book, I wouldn't get it from the UK cover with just a glance... and I'd probably move on.

I have copies of both, and I think I like the UK one more. There's something a little creepy about the US one... but this is a good pick!

I like both covers. The US just has the edge for me, but then I've only seen it on a screen. The UK one in real life looks slightly different colours in different lights. Hard to explain but it does!

I love them both. I have it on very good authority from Santa that this will be in my stocking on Christmas day! Yay!

I like them both even though the US one is slightly creepy. Eyeballs *shudder*

I like both, but I think I generally prefer the UK cover. The US cover doesn't say YA or fantasy to me, and as they are practically the only two genres I read, I think I would over look it. The UK cover definitely says YA to me, though. It must be the colours.

I agree that the UK one looks better in real life than on the screen. I think I slightly prefer the US one, though.

The US one catches my eye first, but the UK one is my favorite on second glance.

I much prefer the UK one. I love the green/orange (depending on your version) smudge behind the title.

I own the UK one so I'm biased, but I agree - it's one of my favorite covers. Vastly preferred over the US :)
