US Vs. UK: Magic Under Glass Covers

US // UK

This week's choice is an easy one for me, as I love the UK cover for Magic Under Glass. In my opinion, it looks nicer than the US one and, from what I've heard, tells more of the story.

I don't like the layout of the US cover. I think the title text takes a lot away from the image, which on its own is lovely. Bloomsbury UK have gone for a completely different look, and I think it's definitely paid off. Which would you choose?

UK UK UK! I think the US one looks a bit like a bodice-ripping yarn. Unless it IS a bodice-ripping yarn, in which case the US cover is fine!

Yeah! The UK one just stands out. I think this is one of my favourite covers ever.

I love the UK one and to be honest I think the US cover is quite boring(doesn't appeal to me at all).

I've not read this one, but from the US cover, it makes the book look like some dodgy pirate story.....I love the UK one though, its so so pretty, and so quintessentially British, you can definitely tell that a Brit has designed the cover

I agree - I did not even notice she's got something in her hand until you put them side by side!

I like the UK cover better overall, though I think it's a bit too "cute"

US kind of looks... :\

I would choose the UK one. The US one looks like more of an adult book.

UK is so cute! There is nothing eye catching about the US cover.

the US may work better as a poster (without the ugly title text I agree), but I think the UK one suits the summary best

I love the UK one. I didn't really take much notice of it until I saw the UK cover, looked it up and discovered that it sounds amazing!

UK totally. The US cover turns me off and I wouldn't even give it a second glance. I didn't even realize it was the same book when I first started seeing it online.

UK! Though it looks younger than the US cover.

To be honest, I don't really like either of them, but if I was pushed for an answer.... I'd have to go with the US.

UK. It's so pretty and gives you a peak of what's to come. Though, I still do like the US cover somewhat.

I prefer the UK cover by miles. I tend to prefer US covers quite often, but the US cover for this looks kind of tacky. It might look better in real life though.

Really? I love the US one more!!

The UK one is my favorite between the two (it's lovely!), but i love the golden light of the US one, it's super pretty. (But what is up with the girl's weird corset thingy?)
