US // UK
It's no contest for me this week: I LOVE the UK cover. In my opinion, the US one doesn't look YA enough, and it just isn't making me want to read the book. I like how it's trying to illustrate the historical element of the story, but I don't think it works.
Now the UK cover is one I would rush out and buy. The image is clean and incredibly eye-catching, and the title/author name font go together so well with the black and red colour contrast. It conveys history and time, but uses a much more subtle approach. It's one of my favourite covers of the year so far!

Agreed I do prefer the UK cover much much better too! And keys like that on covers are always a win win for me dunno just go mad for them maybe I'm just odd though.... lol :P
Agreed! The US one made me have to sort of stand on my head to figure out the image - whereas the UK one is just beautiful to look at.
I like the UK cover better. If I saw them in a store next to each other, I would totally buy the UK version.
Definitely like the UK version more. May have to order this one online so I can get it.
I love the US cover. I think it fits perfectly with what the book is about.
I agree, the UK cover is so much more eye catching :)
The UK one is soo much better!
I'll definitely be buying the UK cover! Hurrah for BookDepository! :)
Totally agree. Hands down, the U.K one is the best- so eye-catching and what a beautiful old-fashioned key!In comparison, the U.S one is boring.
Totally agree with you. The UK cover is much nicer!
150% the UK cover! Love it!!!!
Definitely UK. It's gorgeous!
US cover. The models look so gorgeous in it ^^
UK all the way! Plus it has a treble clef on it too, and you know how I love those squiqly music notes
UK cover all the way. It's just great and grabs your interest.
Definitely UK cover for me as well! The left half of the US cover is OK, but not the right half :P
The beautiful UK cover all the way, eye-catching & gorgeous
I agree 100%, I wouldn't even consider buying with the US cover but love the UK one!
UK definitely. I love the key!
The UK wins it for me here, I think the detailing on the key is beautiful and overall design conveys the history as you say :). The US cover didn't pull if off in this one, I think the faces clutter and detract from the book.
I love the UK version. Very eye-catching!
I like the UK one better, too. Actually, I would quite like that key on a necklace.
UK - I love it!
It's interesting how you've said that the US one doesn't look YA enough. Because although I can't quite define what makes the UK one totally appropriate for YA, it is. However, I do think the US one has been thought out well in relation to the summary I've seen. I do prefer the UK one though.
I like the the UK version. I don't really like the US version. Probably because of the contrast photo to painting. Just doesn't look right to me.
I too love the UK cover way more than the US version. The UK has it 100% right!
I don't really like either one to be honest. Neither of those scream YA for me. But the US one grabs my attention a bit more than the UK.
Yes, I like the UK cover better too! It's a beautiful key. :)
The UK cover is 100% better.
Definitely the UK cover!
