Blog News: Simon & Schuster UK Appreciation Week at Wondrous Reads!

S&S UK Appreciation Week: September 13th - 18th, 2010

The UK branch of Simon & Schuster Children's Books are, in my opinion, absolutely amazing. I love pretty much everything they publish, along with their awesome authors and staff. I've made a great friend there, who has given me the opportunity to do so much cool stuff. So, Kat, if you're reading this, you rock!! Also a big hello to everyone else there, and special thanks to Aly for making the above banner!

In celebration of S&S and their brilliant children's/YA list, I'm dedicating the whole of next week to them. From Monday - Saturday, I'll be posting lots of S&S-related things, including:
  • Interviews with Scott Westerfeld and Sarah Rees Brennan (These were in-person interviews, so expect *very* long posts!)
  • Reviews of S&S titles, new and old.
  • An interview with Venetia, the Children's Fiction Editorial Director. Here you can find out exactly what goes on behind the scenes at S&S - it's fascinating!
  • A UK-only giveaway with some exciting books & PULSE goodies!

I can't wait to get started... see you on Monday for a chat with Scott Westerfeld!

I don't think I've been in touch with anyone from the S&S Children's team, but I agree that they publish fantastic stuff! The only person I've been in contact with from S&S is Ally and she's fab indeed! :) Looking forward to your week, especially the behind the scenes interview! :)
