US Vs. UK: The Demon's Covenant Covers

US // UK

I have one thing to say here: UK, UK, UK! I adore Sarah's British covers, though obviously I like the US ones too, and James Porto has done a great job with the new ones. There's something about the UK art for both this book and The Demon's Lexicon that is just so cool. Seriously, talk about eye-catching. It looks like YA urban fantasy should - dark, edgy and full of attitude.

I think the US cover for The Demon's Covenant is an improvement in design, though I'm still not overly keen on the title font. I'm sure it'll grow on me, but I don't find it as visually appealingas the UK edition. The image itself rocks, though. I mean, how cool is dancing in a ring of fire? Very, I'd say.

Thoughts?

I like the imagery of the US edition, but I'd be more inclined to pick up the UK one if I saw it in store. :) I agree about the font. It kind of detracts from the feel of the cover.

UK! I really like the US one but the image seems a bit distant...it's kind of bare round the edges and looses impact. And that font isn't great...I agree.

I actually prefer the North American one this time around. Either way I like both covers for this book better than the covers for the first book by about a million. ha!

If I saw the US one by itself - I dont mind it - the design as a whole is quite lovely with the model and the colours.

but the UK one? It's flying off the shelf. such an awesome cover.

I love the UK! They are quite eye catching and I dare say, the UK DL's cover is HOT!

I prefer the UK too. The US isn't bad either (HUGE improvement on the first cover for the first book!), but the UK one is just perfect!

I'm liking the UK cover, the girl on the US cover feels kind of wrong, misplaced.

I agree in this case that the UK cover is better but usually UK covers are really dull. I tend to buy alot of the US versions online, just to get the better cover.

I'm with you on this one, the UK is better. The lighter shades of blue make a big difference in making it stand out as well as the white and more thought-out font. I would likely walk straight past the US cover in a store.

I really don't like the US one at all. It wouldn't inspire me to pick up the book, whereas the UK cover screams 'read me'

I love the UK cover and cannot stand the US one - I think it looks a bit cheap and trashy which is a shame, because the book is so good.

I love the UK ones, too. James Porto: didn't he design the Hush, Hush and Crescendo covers?

I wasn't too keen on the UK cover for Lexicon but I love the UK cover for Covenant. I really need to read it.

UK! I LOVE this series. So so much. And whilst I like the US cover, the UK one wins, hands down. Desperately in need of the third book now :).

I have two things to say here:

1- The US covers are so terrible they make me want to gauge out my eyes. (But the UK ones rock my socks.)

2 - SRB is a GOD. Tru Fax.

2b - (I love your US/UK features - they give me a chance to bitch in public ♥)

The UK one for me - it just looks more contemporary and I love the wording.

I actually don't like either that much, but the UK is a bit of a step up from the US cover.

UK covers hands down. though the US ones pretty much rocks my socks.

They also make me want to sing "and it burns burns burns the ring of fire, THE RING OF FIRE" and ANY book cover that makes you want to sing the legend that is Johnny Cash is a good cover indeed

UK all the way! It's *so* much edgier, and I just love it. In fact, it makes me want to buy the book even though I still haven't read the first one.
