In My Mailbox #124: New Books This Week

In My Mailbox idea from Kristi @ The Story Siren, and all links take you to Amazon. Click images for a bigger picture!

This week was rather amazing - I bought some really cool books and got some very exciting stuff in the post (Fury!). I also saw X-Men: First Class (brilliant!) and watched some good tennis. I'm very easily pleased! Here's this week's IMM:

~

For review:
Yay, a nice finished copy! Such a cool cover.

  • Envy by Gregg Olsen (US ARC)
I hadn't heard of this one until it randomly showed up. Sounds creepy.

I still need to read Torment... Oh, and this also came with a postcard and soundtrack CD!!

Woohoo! I love the sound of this book. I'm not a huge fan of Maggie's wolfy series but this one sounds ace. It came in a big red tube with a lovely letter too!

These also came in another cool package, complete with a Hawaiian necklace thingy, lip gloss and chocolate. I already have the books so will be giving them to a local school library.

Sounds good!

I really enjoyed Kay's first book, Jane Airhead, so I hope this one is just as good.

Another one I'm excited about!

Random adult novel that showed up in my post box. I think my mum's going to read this one.

  • Fury by Elizabeth Miles (UK proof/ARC)
YAY YAY YAY! I've been waiting soooo long to read this one. I'm reading it now and so far so good!

  • Halo by Alexandra Adornetto
I'm not sure about this one but I might give it a go. I haven't heard the best reviews.

I really like the sound of this. Chicken House always publish good stuff.

I haven't even read the first book yet, but I'm looking forward to it!

This is one I hadn't heard of until it arrived. It sounds like a good thriller.

Bought:
I bought this for one reason only: the amazing cover!

I love faeries and other creatures, and I heard Brian Froud was a bit of a genius. This book is beautiful.

My US hardcover finally showed up. Yay! Review here.

Vampire stories by the likes of Cassie Clare, Holly Black and Neil Gaiman. :D

I just took a chance with this one because I quite like the sound of it. We'll see.

I'm completely addicted to the show and one day I will read this. I'm determined.

Love the sound of this one!

I'm reading the manuscript of this that Harlequin Teen sent for review. I only got 50 pages in before I knew I *had* to order a finished copy!

13 steampunk stories from some of YA's finest. Including Kiersten White!

Gift:
Sab at YA Bliss met Neal Shusterman and got this signed for me. She rocks and I love it. And him. And his awesome books. Thanks Sab!!

Happy reading, all!

You got some AMAZING books!! Pretty envious about Fury, I wasn't sure who to contact about getting an ARC of that-still getting the hang of requesting books! Seems harder here in the UK. I hope you enjoy everything! I really liked Girl in the Steel Corset and my signed CoFA showed up last week =]

You will 100% not regret reading Game of Thrones. After I read the series it sort of seemed like any other similar sword and/or sorcery books I tried to read fell short. And the characters...Arya! Tyrion! Jaime!

And I am really curious about the Girl in the steel corset!
