US Vs. UK: Bloodlines Covers

US // UK

While I loved and preferred the US Vampire Academy photo covers to the red British re-designs, with Bloodlines it's the other way round. I think the US cover is ok, but it's not my favourite - I'm not overly keen on the model/pose they've used. I get Richelle's books in hardback though, so it's the one I'll end up owning. I like the title font and the colours but overall I don't think it's up to the standard of the Vampire Academy series.

The UK cover was recently revealed and it's really grown on me. At first I thought it was too plain and simple, but now I see it's quite intricate and pretty. I like that the font has stayed the same to create a new Mead brand, and I think the white background works well. I don't know what either of these will look like in real life but I think the UK one might look nicer. Our cover also has the strapline 'Love and loyalty run deeper than blood', which means it gets an extra point. UK wins for me!

What do you guys think?

If I had to pick I'd say the US one. I really don't like the UK one.

Blech. Why can't they make decent covers for this series?? Vampire Academy covers sucked, and it deserves SO MUCH BETTER because the stories are so good! And now they had a chance to redeem themselves and they put out this garbage. :((

I'm not a fan of either. They really do need to do better with her books.

The UK one - I'm not a fan of the US one. But to be honest they could leave it blank and I wouldn't care less - I sooooo want to read this book!!! :)

I really like the US one (although though I'll be getting the UK one). The UK one's okay... I like the white and the title, but I'm unsure about the design.

I like both... Everyone says they don't like the model and pose on the US one, but I do! But the UK one is so pretty. It doesn't give away as much about the story as the US one. And I don't like the way the UK one has the same strapline as VA.

I'm of the few ones who haven't read Vampire Academy yet (I'm planning too, but there's just too many book!) but in this case I really like the UK one better. But I have no idea which one represents the inside the best, though.

Uk cover is really nice. Is it just me or is anyone else getting bored of the random models on all the YA books? everyone should take a page from the Harry potter covers lol

I don't like the tatto-ish looking flowers of either one. Well honestly I've never been a big fan of the VA cover either. But I LOVE the books.

I think the UK one edges it for me this time - it's nice to move away from the black and I think the overall cover will grow on me even more over time.

Honestly? I don't really like either cover. The UK is better than the US one. The US one isn't very imaginative. We're seeing girls and guys on covers a lot at the moment.

I loved the UK cover. So sad they didn't keep it and are now using the US cover for the UK
