US vs. UK: Brooklyn Girls Covers

US //UK

Brooklyn Girls is a cool New Adult novel from Gemma Burgess, with two equally cool covers. The UK one has more sass and attitude than its US counterpart but, having read the book, I do think the US one fits it better. I wouldn't hesitate to pick either of these editions up, though, because they're both very strong and suit their respective countries and markets.

I prefer the title font of the UK cover but the image of the US one. I don't think the US style would have suited the UK at all - it's too stylised and looks more adult than our older YA books. I also like the UK's strapline - 'Life begins at 22' - and think that's the best difference between the two covers. It lets the reader know it's about older characters before they've even flipped the book over to read the synopsis, and that could prove to be a handy selling point.

The US cover just wins this round where I'm concerned, but what do you guys think? Would these covers make you buy/read the book? Let me know!

Having not read it yet, I'd definitely go for the UK cover. I can't put my finger on why though...

I haven't read it yet so I don't know which suits the story better but I keep getting drawn to the UK one, the cover girl is really pretty and the colouring is really nice. I think it looks edgier. The US one looks like its selling the dream, they could almost be Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl so I like them both in different ways

After reading it, I think the US one suits it better but I agree UK cover has spunk. Also the color coordination is awesome on the UK onw
