Extract and Proof Giveaway: Trouble by Non Pratt!

A boy. A girl. A bump. Trouble. Hannah’s smart and funny … she’s also fifteen and pregnant. Aaron is new at school and doesn’t want to attract attention. So why does he offer to be the pretend dad to Hannah’s unborn baby? Growing up can be trouble but that’s how you find out what really matters.

Because Walker Books (and most YA bloggers out there) are so excited about Trouble, Non Pratt's 2014 debut, they've put together a little extract blog tour which will allow you to read some of the book early and give you a chance to win an early proof copy! All you have to do is follow all five extracts on five different blogs, and at the end you can enter to win a copy. Sound good? If yes, read on for a snippet of Non's lovely writing and an introduction to Hannah...

Extract 1:
My little sister, Lola, isn't eating her beans. They're green so you can't blame her. Baked wouldn't be a problem. Mum works late on Fridays so teatime's always a little bit ... tense. Despite having raised a teenage son already, Robert has a hard time of keeping a grip on his youngest. And me.
Afterwards, Lola insists on doing my hair before she starts on her Fluffy Kitten collection. By the time she finishes I'm not sure who looks worse − me or Princess Purry.
Thankfully my grooming session is cut short by a text from Katie: cu in 10. Which is code for: get the drinks in. I don't have far to go.
Before he left for uni, my stepbrother had a massive party. Jay overbrought on the booze and because I was "helping" him order, he overbought on the sort of booze that I liked. I reckon that was the best night of my life...
Worst. Ever. Morning. After.

You can find the second extract over on Sister Spooky right now and, if that isn't enough for you, check out my Trouble cover reveal post from last week!
