Special Agent Fangs Enigma and his sidekick, werewolf Agent Puppy Brown, were recruited by secret intelligence agency MP1 (Monster Protection, 1st division) to stop the world’s super(natural) villains and monster criminals from realizing their evil plans. In Codename: The Tickler, MP1’s expensive mind-control technology, the Will Pill, has been stolen by an ogre named Snores. He is only a goon for hire, though – so who is the real culprit? Can Agents Enigma and Brown solve this ticklish case or will the mysterious Tickler have the last laugh?
It's always a good day when I read one of Tommy Donbavand's children's books. I laugh all the way though them and constantly ask myself why one of his series hasn't yet been adapted for TV. They'd be perfect for a half-hour animated show on a Saturday, and I'm 100% positive kids would love it. His books are all about vampires and werewolves and other such creatures which, let's be honest, is *always* welcome. The more monsters the better, yes?
In Codename: The Tickler, Agents Fangs Enigma and Puppy Brown are on another top secret mission to try and locate the whereabouts of the Will Pill, a pill with ability to control minds. Snores the ogre has stolen it but he doesn't really seem the type to have masterminded a criminal operation, so it's up to Fangs and Puppy to find out just who is behind it all; that's if they don't get tickled to death in the process!
This book introduced a fantastic character: Tickler the pixie. I'm a big fan of the fae and love it when they show up in books I read, especially when they're tiny and have multiple arms. Ha! The imagination behind these stories is brilliant and seems to get better with each instalment. This second book even ventures to a circus, where a whole host of crazy things happen, providing lots of laughs and endless enjoyment. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
