Review: I Love You Night and Day by Smriti Prasadam-Halls and Alison Brown

I love you wild, I love you loud. I shout it out and I feel proud. I love you night, I love you day. In every moment come what may. The pages in this fabulously warm and reassuring picture book are bursting with exuberance, warmth and humour. A celebration of love - it's the perfect present to give to the one you love, and offers a heartfelt and affirming message of unconditional love that is pitched just right for little ones.
I Love You Night and Day is the cutest picture book I've read so far. It's gorgeous to look at and I instantly fell in love with Alison Brown's illustrations. Bear and Bunny look lovely, of course, but I also like the little frogs, mice and hedgehogs scattered throughout. The whole time I was reading it I was saying "aww"!
I Love You Night and Day is about life's greatest feeling: love. It's about loving somebody so much that you never want to be apart, whether they're being good or bad or even if they break your favourite cup! It's about loyalty and always being there for someone, whether it be a friend, family member or partner.
Bear and Bunny are the best example of friendship, and I hope younger readers enjoy this as much as I did. I'm sure they'll want a Bear or a Bunny of their own, what with them being so cute and all. I highly recommend this picture book and hope Smriti Prasadam-Halls and Alison Brown will collaborate on more books in the future. Just lovely.
