The Darkest Part of the Forest is Holly Black's brand new standalone YA novel, published by Indigo tomorrow! Here's what it's all about:
Near the little town of Fairfold, in the darkest part of the forest, lies a glass casket. Inside the casket lies a sleeping faerie prince that none can rouse. He's the most fascinating thing Hazel and her brother Ben have ever seen. They dream of waking him - but what happens when dreams come true? In the darkest part of the forest, you must be careful what you wish for...
As part of this blog tour I'm going to post a few of my bookish wishes (#bookishWISHES on Twitter if you're joining in), which are as follows:
- I wish I'd written The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It's my favourite book of all-time, and I just wish I could write like that. Or even think like that. Basically I just wish I could have my name emblazoned on the cover, under Liesel and Death and their deadly dancing.
- Like thousands of other readers, I wish there were more Harry Potter books.
- I wish the Buffy the Vampire Slayer tie-in novels were still being written. I miss new stories about my favourite slayer!
Indigo are acting fairy godmother and have very kindly offered to bestow a copy of The Darkest Part of the Forest on one lucky person. You just have to answer one question which is included on the form below:
